Petrana will be subject to the limitations/nerfs listed in the FAQ, in particular the line-of-sight limitation. She'll also find that magic outside the scope of what native mages can do will be much more taxing, albeit not impossible. Becoming familiar with the Fade and native magic techniques will make that magic easier, but never as easy as magic with a native equivalent.
