REVISIONS

Before we can approve your update, we need to request a few changes!
Overall, this is far too great a power gain, especially for a canon update that only spans a few months of work and development IC. When we approved the abilities in Adalia's original application and discussed and approved her limits with you later, it was based on a holistic approach to all her abilities, magical and non-magical, and including consideration of the magical items and creatures she brought with her. Her original magic was already about the maximum that we would allow a native 19-year-old mage with her length of experience. Her polymorph ability also consistutes an entire specialization for natives and then some, and her alchemical talents have given her a ton of additional tricks. So essentially doubling her power set via canon update, especially one that only represents a few months of IC aging and growth, isn't something we can allow.

The narrative and character-growth aspects of the update are fine! And you can pick 1-3 additional abilities (depending on their power level) to add to reflect that she's been learning more magic. "Alter Self" and "Mindspike" won't be permitted, and any water manipulation spell you choose will be limited at most to the same 6-10 meter range used for large area of effect spells in Dragon Age. In general, it's difficult for us to evaluate the specifics of individual abilities and figure out if/how they need to be nerfed when they're written so specifically for the D&D context, with stat limits and saving throws and such that just don't apply in RP. Just as we ask players to "de-video-game" their power lists for us, we need you to revise to de-D&D. Please describe the abilities you choose for Adalia in terms of how you envision them actually working in RP in Thedas, and when you do so, please take into account our standard nerfs as described in the FAQ, like line of sight restrictions.

For otherwise expanding her abilities in the future, you can use in-game mechanisms—she has one additional specialization slot to buy (since we would count her polymorph as one spec, plus her alchemist spec), so you would need to scale to the same 3-4 active and 2-3 passive ability gains permitted there, but she could learn more of her native magic while in Thedas that way if you'd like.

For the revision, you don't need to rewrite or repost the whole update form, just the spell list!
