Re: QUESTIONS

2. The mechanics of healing is like your garden variety mage in most video games. If he were a player character, he would have a mana bar that would deplete over the course of a battle. Spells which heal superficial wounds would not be very taxing so he could keep that up for a long time (ex. for about as long as a field medic could dress wounds before their stamina would run out). But if he had to heal a mortal wound it would drain him significantly and he would need to withdraw and rest before casting even those basic spells. In the lore, he usually manages to heal for the first 3rd of an encounter before he runs out of 'mana' basically, and tries to help in other ways until he can get a second wind.

I haven't heard of the Light restoring or reattaching limbs, or curing permanent disabilities. It can cleanse someone of poison, as well as malicious magic effects (like fear, confusion). The way I normally RP his spells, there is always a chance the Light won't answer so if the wound has to be incurable for narrative purposes, Anduin will fail.

3. The blessings are very low-cost spells he can cast on a person or a group (think an entire army). They invoke a positive emotion, usually courage or calmness. I assume it lasts about as long as a pep talk or inspiring speech would. The distinction is it acts instantly and doesn't require the other person to be persuaded.

His void magic works a lot more like generic damage spells with a Lovecraftian or psionics flavour. They can be thought of as working like typical fire spells in that he can cause a searing pain that lasts for a short time before expiring, or more painful short bursts. The different features are in his ability to mind control someone and cause fear. He casts Psychic Scream which is a mental attack that causes enemies surrounding him to become terrified of him and flee for a few minutes.

The effect completely wears off. Mind control works in the same way, but he can only mind control one person at a time. Think Jedi mind trick here. It lasts long enough for him to slip away, but the person he casts it on is fully aware they had been mind controlled. Anduin has only ever used these two void spells, and only to escape.

The only other magic effect the Light is capable of is prophecy and seeing things at a distance. Anduin does receive visions from the Light. So far these have been not really prophetic but gave him some insight into his present situation. He has never used the Light to scry from a distance, though.
