You have been assigned to Ambushing the Anders.
The characters assigned to this task are: Helena, Clarke, Teren, and Marcoulf. You're welcome to say they volunteered for this, or were ordered to do it as part of their Inquisition duties.

  • Teren has been placed on lead for the mission.
  • You don’t have to thread the whole thing, just RP about it in some capacity — ex: Logs before or after the mission, network threads, etc.
  • Remember to submit a report by November 10th, failure to do so will result in a critical failure.
  • Ema and K2 are available for any questions, comments, or concerns you may have.

    Summary:

The group travels to the Orlesian side of the current warfront, where the group of Anders soldiers have been spotted traveling. They successfully locate the group without being noticed, and are in luck--the soldiers will be passing through a ravine that is perfect for setting up an ambush.

How they go about the ambush is completely up to them, whether they try to bait the soldiers into falling off the cliffs somehow, or just roll rocks down on them while they walk past. Whatever the method, they succeed--barely. One soldier catches onto their plan somehow, and tries to warn his fellows about the danger. They laugh at him, and proceed to walk right into the ambush, anyway.

Somehow, he manages to survive the initial attack, and starts running. He pauses to turn around and tell his fallen comrades ‘I told you so’. Immediately afterwards, a piece of rock dislodges from the top of the ravine and hits him on the head. Oops.

All the soldiers removed, the party is free to rifle through their belongings. On the lead soldier’s person, they will discover several important-looking coded letters. They will also discover other notes on other soldiers, which contain terrible poetry, tawdry love letters, and one drawing of what appears to be the lead soldier wearing a potato sack, with stink lines and flies. They are free to keep or dispose of these notes at their discretion.
