The reports on the wiki are the extent of the paperwork on hand for Riftwatch! (If any player characters emerge to say they've actually studied something that isn't accounted for there, Mhavos is welcome to ask why they haven't filed reports/whether it was lost/etc.) We know it's sparse, but that's mainly because people haven't done much—which, IC, can be blamed a bit on the war being pretty pressing. There won't be any external research on anchors to be found, because no one outside of the PCs have them to study (the enemy is definitely interested, but if they've done work on it outside the one kidnapping incident that's not something PCs have info about at present). But there would certainly be various incorrect theories about the origin of the Breach/rifts/rifters and so on available from outsiders with no real evidence, so if it's entertaining to make some nonsense up for flavor purposes, feel free!
