Your application has been approved, with the following notes:

↠ Like those of native mages, all of Wanda's abilities will be limited to targets within her line of sight and won't work through solid walls, around corners, etc., or across any significant distances. Similar to native mages, using her abilities will draw on an energy source that's exhaustible if overused, and she'll be rendered powerless by anti-magic spells/enchantments, Templar abilities, and magebane.

↠ She can telekinetically move objects up to the size/weight of a minivan, but her fine control will need to be more limited than it's implied to be in canon—so she won't be able to destroy individual molecules of poison gas in the air, for example, or even pick the pins in a lock.

↠ Her ability to create shields will also be limited to the equivalent of the Barrier spells available to native mages, meaning that it can cover an area of about 20 square feet, does not last indefinitely, and degrades as it absorbs damage.

↠ Her ability to place someone into a hallucination/dream state will require her to be within touching distance of them, and it will last a maximum of 15 minutes. The maximum duration will decrease from there as the complexity of the manipulation and the number of people it is used on increase.

↠ Sensing anyone's thoughts or emotions will require deliberate, targeted effort directed toward one person at a time; she won't be able to latently sense anyone around her. She'll only be able to sense specific current thoughts/plans/etc. in brief fragments and won't be able to choose what she learns. She won't, for example, be able to go rooting around in someone's mind for old memories or the particular details of their evil plan.

↠ As you suggested, Wanda's flight will be limited to the equivalent of the DA:I ability Fade Step, which has a range of about 20 feet.

↠ We're basing our understanding of Wanda's abilities solely on what's described in your application, rather than the wiki or other sources. If there are any additional abilities (or significantly distinct or broader applications of her existing abilities) that exist but haven't been mentioned in your application or that are added to her character when new canon material is released, you'll need to talk to us about those separately and likely create a custom specialization to be able to use them in game.

↠ The breadth of Wanda's mind manipulation powers require a permissions post!

↠ In Thedas, mind control is viewed in an extremely negative light by natives, and while many PCs are radically open-minded, not all are, and the NPC public definitely is not. Use of this power could potentially result in serious IC consequences (for your character and/or for the IC reputation of the organization), especially if used publicly or irresponsibly. If you're up for RPing those consequences whatever they may be, then great! If you're not sure, then please be proactive and reach out to us in advance to discuss what the ramifications might be before RPing Wanda obviously using them in public.

Since your character is arriving via rift, you're welcome to post a rift arrival log or to begin RP in the Gallows and simply handwave that members of Riftwatch met your character on their arrival through the rift, helped them close it, and brought them to Kirkwall.
