Snow Falls is a town that has it all - puffy vests, hats with pom-poms, a thriving Christmas market, paper cups that are unable to hold any liquid. It's bustling, except it sort of feels kind of empty at the same time? Like, there aren't many people in the background at any given time. The Big City is very similar, in that it also is strangely deserted, but the Big City also doesn't have puffy vests or hats with pom-poms or Christmas markets. It does still have liquid-free coffee cups though.
Neither the Big City nor Snow Falls have ever seen real snow.
History
-Had a childhood. -Left for the Big City for a reason. There, ended up having a career that takes up all her time. She buys Christmas trees for corporate events - big, perfect Christmas trees that several people look at and smile and nod. -Her mom is dead. Her mom left her a tin mug with a Christmas tree on it. Whenever Holly drinks hot cocoa from this mug, she murmurs, "Oh, Mom. I miss you." -Her dad is alive. He has folksy wisdom. He supports her in whatever she does, but does wish she'd come home. He does not come visit her in the Big City. -She lands a big account that needs a Christmas tree for the Big City's Central Square. They approach her about getting this Christmas tree five days before the Christmas tree lighting, which will be internationally televised. -The perfect Christmas tree is at home in Snow Falls. So she has to go back to get it. But while she's there, she reconnects with her childhood sweetheart who talks to her about small-town life. She has never kissed this man. It is possible she has never kissed any man. She does not know whether to go back to the Big City or stay in Snow Falls.
