Okay! What we would like to do is:

↠ Limit Galadriel's use of this ability to people within her line of sight, as with native mages' spell use.

↠ Not allow the direct/empathic manipulation of emotions.

↠ Ask that the ability in general be more difficult than she is accustomed to and sometimes unpredictable, since Thedosians' soul/spirits/whathaveyous work differently or are made of different "stuff"--it sounds like you're already on board with that, and hopefully it will let you work with people based on their permissions preferences more easily!
