Re: QUESTIONS

↠Whether Carver became a Templar or Grey Warden would likely affect a few aspects of Bethany's personality, so I tried to leave some things a little vague, but here are some facets I can expand on--

Bethany is Andrastian, and while she experienced a turbulent relationship with her own faith throughout her time in the Kirkwall Circle, she has come to the firm decision that her magic is a gift from the Maker. Mages do not deserve mistreatment for being born with that gift. She isn't sure if she agrees completely with any one of the major Circle fraternities' views, however, and tries to avoid taking part in debates about mage rights if she can.

Though she wouldn't deal well with the responsibilities that come with being a leader of large groups/organizations, on an individual basis Bethany falls quite easily into a mentor-like role when interacting with those younger than her (in actual age, level of skill, or both). It makes sense, since she is something of an old soul trapped in a younger body.

↠ I'm just going with what is said about a Circle mage Bethany's activities in Inquisition: "Varric will state that she stayed behind in the Free Marches to help other mages from the Kirkwall Circle."

(Minus the part about Hawke getting her out of the Free Marches, of course, since she's MIA in this world state.)

She'll be travelling from the Marches to the Frostback Mountains after word spreads about Skyhold, and Bethany's been impacted by the mage/templar conflict about as much as you would expect any mage to be.
