Thank you for your interest! Unfortunately, at this time, we cannot accept your application to Fade Rift. We obviously allow for leeway in AU interpretations of characters, but we do ask that they stay true to the cornerstones of a character's identity. We feel you've overlooked some fundamental aspects of Steve Roger's characterization, particularly his persistent refusal in canon to accept bullying or abuse of others, regardless of the source. This is an essential part of his character that isn't consistent with the AU history and personality you've written. A Templar who was inherently intolerant of abuse and bullying like Steve is in canon should have had qualms and difficulties with the Order -- or at least some members of it -- from the beginning, and we don't see that represented here. We understand that AUing a character may require some adjustment if parts of their personality are incompatible with the setting, but that isn't the case here and we don't see a compelling reason for them to be disregarded.
Additionally, there are two lore-based issues with your adaptation. First, lyrium doesn't cause physical changes in Templars as you describe, so it can't be the cause of Steve's transformation from sickly kid to dorito man. Second, while we've allowed some leeway with making up new circles where it doesn't contradict Thedas lore, canon specifies that there is only one Circle in Ferelden, Kinloch Hold. If Steve were stationed at a Circle and observing Harrowings, he would have been present at the Circle Tower during the events in Dragon Age: Origins, and those events need to be accounted for in his history. We would also need to see more information about where he was and what he was doing during the Mage-Templar War.
Because of the extent of the changes required, we will not be able to accept this application during this round. You're welcome to revise and apply again in a future round. If you have any questions or want more information about why we reached this decision, you can PM this account to discuss it.
