Assuming you're familiar with DA lore, demons here do work differently -- we're not sure how to adapt the Form, Truth, and Regret aspects of the Medicine Seller's exorcism process to Thedas' demons in general. We're taking a shot at a proposal below, but let us know if you have other ideas:
↠ Against the demons that come through the Fade on their own, he and his sword can be more effective than most Thedosians, on par with Seekers of Truth and other natives with demon-specific fighting abilities. He won't be able to destroy any but the weakest types in a single blow, but he'll do better than most.
↠ Against abominations -- mages possessed by demons -- the Medicine Seller may be able to "exorcise" them rather than taking the usual Thedosian route of murdering them, through a similar process of learning their form, truth, and regret. This will only be possible against abominations like Anders, Connor Guerrin, etc. -- those who are voluntarily possessed and retain their own personalities, vs. those involuntarily seized by demons and utterly deformed.
↠ He can create ofuda, but they must remain in his line of sight in order to function. He'll only be able to use enough to protect a small group of people or ensnare a couple of demons at a time.
↠ His telekinesis will also be limited to objects in his line of sight.
↠ Generally speaking, he won't be able to create large-scale illusions. In the Fade, he may be able to manipulate the environment for those who are not lucid.
↠ Whatever he is, he'll need to eat, sleep, and drink to survive, and any immunity to disease that he has that contributes toward his long lifespan won't extend to the Blight.
↠ He can transform into his Other Self as described, but will need to do so with discretion -- or with IC consequences -- since the average villager will likely interpret it as evidence that he himself is demonic and attack/demand the Inquisition stop letting him out in public/etc.
