Can you explain more what you mean by Bowhannon's family owning a deed to the territory you described and Bowhannon maintaining control of it? Our understanding of trade agreements in Thedas (based on e.g. the Compacts available for purchase in Inquisition) is that there may be agreements with collective groups of landowners for access to routes or trade centers, but we don't think it's likely that a single family could own exclusive rights to the Waking Sea, Minater River, and Imperial Highway or feasibly control/protect territory that expansive.
