Re: QUESTIONS

She would be a completely different person if she didn't have her magic. Within the clan, she's not First or Second, and that's left her struggling to find her place; where she belongs. Even though she's hearthmistress, she's felt it hasn't been enough and that's why she can always be found hopping from person to person, offering help with their jobs. She helps the halla keeper, the basket weaver, anyone she can to fill in the gaps.

If she didn't have magic, she would have a set role in the clan. There would be one job she would do and she wouldn't have such an open and friendly nature because she wouldn't be running around, intent on helping a variety of different people. She'd just do her job and that would be it. She'd be far more closed off and focused one just one thing.

And perhaps most importantly of all, if she wasn't a mage, she wouldn't have a core facet of her personality, which is her fascination with humans. The reason she's never seen a human before is because she's a mage. Her Keeper wouldn't allow her to stray far away from the camp where she might see humans, because of the worry that Templars would find her and drag her away. Were she a hunter, a trader, anything like Beleth, Cyril, Merrick, or Gavin, she would have been able to go out farther and interact with humans. Her curiosity towards them would be completely gone and she wouldn't be Ellana anymore. Joining the Inquisition and seeing so many all at once is going to be such an incredible experience for her, as is just being out in the world in general, and it all comes back to the fact that as a mage, she was never allowed to explore or interact with people outside the clan before.
