↠ Physically he doesn't look all that different unless he's in Devil Trigger mode where his appearance undergoes a drasticchange. Additionally Dante boasts an interesting tattoo on his back. It glows whenever Dante's healing factor kicks in, it also acts as Dante's proverbial "bag of holding" from where his sword "Rebellion" is summoned. Also, his eyes, they're an unnatural shade of blue, it doesn't seem to throw people in game off, but it does give him that uncanny valley you're-like-me-but-you're-not kind of vibe that none of the humans really possess. As an aside his tattoo looks oddly like the symbol for the Inquisition.
↠ The Devil Trigger lasts only seconds, 30 seconds thereabouts, a little less perhaps so Dante isn't able to maintain it for long stretches of time. There's an unknown connection between the medallion Dante wears and his Devil Trigger so if he loses that he will not be able to enter into the DT state. Side-effects include changes in his personality, he loses his "humanity" so to speak, he becomes more ruthless, Kat had to beg him to not kill Virgil. Head-canon wise I think it's generally a painful state for him to transition into and I add this because when we see him use it for the first time he's screaming like he's in pain while bolts of red energy pass through him. He'll require a descent recovery period before he can use it again as he will not have (DT stars and crosses available to him), but transitioning out of it doesn't appear to slow him down (though one would assume it would drain his energy at least in Thedas without anything to bolster his energy or recovery).
