Thedas has a lot going on, and our characters are only there in person to see some of it. The rest they have to hear about after the fact.

Players can sign up to volunteer their characters to announce pieces of IC news to the rest of the game. Participating is optional.

Generally speaking, the IC news will be something that Riftwatch has learned through reports or contacts from elsewhere in Thedas, and your character will be asked to announce it by their division head as part of their work for the day. (Except in rare cases, those orders will be hand waved.) If you're interested in participating, you can add your character here.

There's also space for you to indicate which projects, if any, your character is involved with. You can also check some boxes for areas of particular interest to them (or that you think would be the most interesting OOC for them to have to talk about). We'll use these to try to tailor news items to people who would care about or be involved with them. That means we may not go in a set order every time we give out news; if we have Scouting news about elves, for example, a Scouting member who's interested in Elf Stuff and/or involved with Felandaris may be assigned to announce it rather than someone above them on the list who's not involved with elf things at all. But we will keep track of who's already had a turn and keep things even over time.
