Current game members have the option of submitting a short-form app for native OCs they'd like to voice test within the game itself. If your voice test app is approved, you'll receive access to the communities for that new character and have up to three (3) months to test them out before you submit a full application.


These applications are short and meant to encompass just the broad strokes of the character concept (they are essentially identical to the previous side character apps). It's fine to flesh aspects of the character out as you go and add events or elements as long as they don't substantially depart from the concept described in your app. E.g., you can decide while writing a thread that your character spent a few years of their youth studying in Antiva, even though it wasn't mentioned in the voice testing app. But you can't decide they're actually a Merchant Prince's bastard heir or secretly an apostate mage when there's no mention of that in the app. If you make major changes of that nature while RPing without getting advance permission you may be required to retcon them later.

If you do stumble upon a big change you'd like to make or major element you'd like to add after submitting the voice test app, you'll need to either contact us to talk to us about your options, or refrain from mentioning it IC until you've submitted a full application and we've approved it there.

The deadline to submit a full application will always be three months from the date your voice testing app is approved, and we will not be providing reminders. If the deadline passes and we haven't received a full application, we'll remove the voice test character's account from the communities and you won't be able to continue to RP them until we approve a full app. So if you want to be sure there's no stretch of time where you're barred from tagging with them (and save us the admin work of adding and removing your accounts multiple times), make sure you keep track of that deadline and apply for real before it expires.
