Honey Badger Hold is one of the smaller holds of the Avvar, situated not too far from the Hinterlands if you had to pick another landmark other than the Frostbacks to help point someone. The hold prefers to keep out of too many conflicts owing to its small size, but much like their namesake and hold beast they aren't to be taken lightly, boasting a proud tradition of punching above their weight without fear or hesitation.

Willing to trade with pretty much anyone of decent character, they enjoy a good relationship with several farm holdings in the area, as well as Orzammar, trading for the usual goods one requires that the other can provide. Honey Badger Hold was notable during the Orlesian occupation for taking in the odd lowlander refugee pushed off their land with nowhere left to go; the wife of their venerable Master of the Hunt is one such woman, rare in that she remained with the hold. They were also neighbours to a hold that disappeared during the Fifth Blight.

Noted for their association with Hardie Holdings and more famously with Asher Hardie and The Boneflayers mercenary company.
