Our understanding of the Arcane Warrior specialization as it operates in canon is that it allows a mage to go toe-to-toe with warriors in terms of physical strength and endurance, with additional spells that aid in defense during close-quarters combat. Given how much power mages already possess compared to other characters in the game--with relatively few drawbacks or consequences, since in practice neither IC discrimination nor mana actually limit mages' opportunities or prevent them from using their abilities whenever they want--we aren't comfortable stretching the specialization to the superwarrior level you've described, especially when there are other powerful abilities in the specialization as well.

So an Arcane Warrior can be effectively stronger than their muscle mass alone would support, but not so much so that they could necessarily outdo trained non-mages or perform any physical feats that could not also be done by trained non-mages. The Arcane Warrior specialization also won't make anyone automatically a weapons expert--it can give a mage the strength and speed to wield a sword as long and hard as a warrior, but they'll still need to put the same amount of time into learning technique as anyone else.
