I'm working on an app for Helena from Orphan Black, but going back and forth a bit on what canon point to choose, given that she becomes pregnant during season 2 and I'm debating how well that will work out in RP.
I assumed that given the way canon updates work in Fade Rift that if she were to come in from season 1 or early season 2 and then updated to later, she would obviously remain not-pregnant. That would be quite disturbing for her, so I'm trying to pick carefully.
I know in some games they opt to have a suspension mechanic, so a character's pregnancy wouldn't progress or in some instances characters don't age - would there be any such mechanic to that effect with a pregnant rifter, or weird effects on the pregnancy generally, or would her pregnancy progress as normal?

Further note: I'm looking at a canon point in season three for her, which is a really interesting time for her character development, but obviously she's already pregnant then. If it would be possible the ideal scenario for me would be for her to come in with her pregnancy not suspended, since that would cause a level of emotional/mental trauma that I don't really want to dive into. I realise that might not be okay, depending on pregnancy/child policies in game, so if need be I can go for an earlier canon point, but the development she goes through in season two/three is really interesting so I was hoping it'd be okay.
