Hello! I am interested in apping from Exalted, which is .. going to need a nerf from 'go' but I have an idea of where I need to do that; others I am a little unsure about, being canonblind to the origin game.

Specifically, I'm keen on a Midnight-caste Abyssal Exalt. Their schtick is dealing with ghosts (Specifically the spirits of the dead, not just 'spirits in general') and undead, have spooky undeath related imagery and so on, and I do not know how necromancy works in Fade Rift or even if it would. Or if there are different rules for compelling a ghost (do ghosts even exist?) vs raising a completely soulless zombie.

It's less would there be consequences for these actions, and more are these actions even possible in the setting?

Likewise, if my Abyssal is a skilled alchemist able to craft various tonics and medicines and healing potions, could they, with enough time and familiarity with the local everything, begin to eventually reproduce those potions and tonics and so on?

Exalted has three different versions of their writeups, as well as many different setting shards, 3rd Edition being the most recent, most easy to understand and also most .. incomplete. Would I be able to use bits of the various editions to compile a single workable theme (as 3rd allows for a clear setting to work with, but Shards 2.5 allows for Abyssals that don't RELY on the Neverborn for their power), or do I need to pick and stick with just one?
