How would characters, especially Dragon Age canon characters, who have been played by someone else, dropped, and then been applied for by someone else be treated? Some characters are likely to know them, but the character and player wouldn't have that same knowledge, etc. Do we have the opportunity to start fresh, to be (re-)recruited, etc?

I'm specifically asking for Merrill, in case that wasn't obvious by the journal, aha.
