I've been thinking about how to roleplay the AW, provided my submitted plot goes through, but obviously wanted to discuss it with you. The AW, unlike most mage specs, is not a collection of spells, but a magicalization of physical warfare. In DAO, this manifests as swapping one set of stats for another, basically. You can fight with a sword and use spellpower for damage and your magic stat substitutes your strength stat. That's wonky in RP-land.
Based on codex entries, skill descriptions, and Solas' comments on the AW, I'm thinking of the AW being someone who channels their magic inward so they can accomplish superhuman feats, like running up a wall or lifting things they don't have the muscle mass to lift. Basically they become a sort of Captain America, or Neo, or something, through the discipline of making their magic have physical results from their own bodies. There is no spirit blade for the AW spec in the games, but the use of a real sword isn't a handicap if the body wielding it is augmented by magic.
Of course the drawbacks in DAO are fatigue and an awkward time casting certain spells unless your sword is sheathed (or, perhaps in RP-land, switched to the non-dominant hand). But I want your guidance on this. How does any of this sound?
