Your canon update has been approved, with the following notes:
↠ Bend Will will work on most animals, but people (humans, elves, etc.) will be able to resist it similar to the way people can resist other forms of mind control—people who aren't paying attention or who are not being pushed to do anything especially contrary to their own nature or motives will be easier to control, whereas making someone who's already trying to kill someone stop (or making someone who would never kill someone on their own try to do so) is more likely to fail.

↠ High dragons will not be affected.

↠ It can work for between one and thirty minutes depending on the intelligence of the being and how contrary to its nature the commands are—so a minute at most for a human/elf/etc. being forced to kill their own friends, thirty minutes for a nug being encouraged to run away squeaking in a different direction than it might have otherwise run squeaking.

↠ Remember that mind control is generally seen as the domain of blood mages, and using it in a way that is noticeable (including trying to control someone who is able to resist, and who will remember afterwards) may have significant IC consequences.

↠ Make sure you have permission from players before using the ability on PCs (or put up an opt-out post).
