Oh, I quite like the idea that she'll have to learn to re-purpose her own magic to Thedas's constraints. And, of course, I will gladly consult with you on matters of her Mirror (if or when she ever uses it). Even Galadriel is reluctant to encourage people to take what the mirror shows as the wholesale truth as it can be wildly unpredictable in what it chooses to depict; I can't imagine an instance where I wouldn't need to consult with you about it, just because what it shows could be so varied and because the World-state is so unique.
About her mind/heart-reading ability, there's actually a manuscript about it, though I can't seem to find a copy online.
It's a technique (called Ósanwe) that the Elves of Arda classify along with language, as it predated worded speech and was, summarily, replaced by it. The technique was all but lost as language developed and telepathy became more difficult for incarnated beings (creatures with hröa). At it's core it's not really a technique that's specific to Galadriel so much as Elves in general, but it's essentially become hers as she seems to be the best person at it and, quite probably, the last person who knows how to do it.
Naturally its limitations and actual processes are excruciatingly vague.
In the books the ability is entirely wordless and involves Galadriel offering up the desires of each of the Fellowship with the sense that, should they take her offer and turn away, it would be without consequence. That's a complex series of actions, however, and involves her being able to infer something as abstract as desires and memories, to influence a very nuanced level of emotion, but seemingly unable to take measure of their active thoughts/will. The offer she makes is described, by each of the members of the Fellowship, as though they saw the image of what they wanted most.
She seems unable to discern the minds of other ringbearers (or at least Gandalf (who is markedly not human/does not have hröa and thus not really a grand benchmark for this), but she doesn't appear to have issues reading Frodo's mind or, for that matter, Sauron's) and is often surprised by the actions that people take, so the ability has some vague practical limitations.
Oddly it doesn't seem to be affected by distance at all, as she uses it multiple times to communicate across large portions of Middle-earth.
In the movies it was interpreted as her being able to speak directly into the minds of the Fellowship and being able to see what they (or at least Frodo) saw. I suspect this was done for dramatic effect and because filming people traveling home is both impractical and expensive. Even in this form, though, she is surprised by both Frodo's offer of the ring (given telepathically, implying she can read active thought) and the actions of others (Gimli asking for her hair).
However this ability operates, or whether Nenya is involved in concealing her mind, Galadriel's thoughts are unreadable (at the very least to Sauron).
I'm not certain how the other apps involving this sort of thing have been limited, so I can't offer suggestions that would be consistent, but I had a few thoughts about it in relation to actual RP.
For practical purposes in RP, I imagine it would be easier (and would involve far fewer paragraphs of description) to have her communicate with words rather than images. I would also readily give up her ability to manipulate emotion (complex or otherwise) because, even with permissions, that's just this side of godmodding. Whether she can read actual memories or just take away impressions/desires/fears is also up for debate and could be entirely variable, based on either/both permissions and mod approval.
(It seems important to note that her ability to detect "darkness" in people is not, necessarily, an ability to detect ill-will so much as actual physical/spiritual corruption. The only exceptions to this have been Feanor (who was kind of a massive dick even before being a massive dick was a thing) and a few other scattered examples of really bad dudes who want to or are willing to seriously hurt people for their own gain.
This ability would be only moderately useful, even at full power, in say...the Orlesian Court. Without context and assuming nobody actually a) thinks of themselves as evil or b) plans on killing literally everyone, common sense would be a far more useful skill. This power of detection would also cause her to be ridiculously suspicious of Grey Wardens despite the vast majority of them being fairly excellent people. It's not a super accurate guide.)
