  • You're right that the warehouse is abandoned and shabby. Nothing looks especially non-shabby our out of place.

  • The spirits will not pay more attention to any people in particular or be more or less malicious toward anyone as a rule. For the most part, they'll seem unaware that anyone else is there, unless you manage to get very close and speak to them directly and to their faces, at which point most of them will vanish.

  • The exception will be a back room. The room isn't locked, but the spirits and movement will be more concentrated and more aggressive there, including objects being used as projectiles at anyone who comes too close and spirits that, while unable to do any physical harm, will shriek and get in the faces of people who don't back away.

  • Ignoring this and examining the room despite them (or dispatching them, alternatively) will reveal nothing immediately amiss, other than the strong scent of decay, but moving crates and furniture aside will eventually reveal a trapdoor on the floor, previously blocked by a heavy crate full of scrap metal.

  • The space in the floor beneath the crate will hold seven bodies in the late stages of decomposition, six of them slight, likely undernourished denizens of darktown, and one clearly an adult human man. All of them are in shackles and clothing that was bare and tattered even before they died. There are also scratch marks on the underside of the trapdoor.

  • Opening the trapdoor will also bring out two demons—a despair demon and a rage demon, specifically—that cannot be reasoned with and will attack anyone present until defeated, along with an increase in objects being jerked about or used as projectiles. People may be jerked around physically by unseen forces as well.

  • Defeating the demons will end the violence but not make the spirit leave. Accomplishing that will require both seeing to the bodies and strengthening the Veil, which may require assistance from native Templars.
