Did you see them together? At the soiree? What was the Nightingale thinking? The Nightingale, surely you mean Celene's apostate, what was she thinking?

Dancing together, smiling, laughing together.

Surely a ploy, an act.

Rumours abound that the Left Hand of the Divine seeks to lead the fabled Witch of the Wilds into the Maker's light, and that she will fall to her knees and weep with joy when she is brought to it, others whisper that the witch will do what she has done to Celene; that she will bring blood magic to this Inquisition and whisper it into the Left Hand's ear. After all, isn't this founded by heretics?

And yet to those who might know them better than the nobles, the smiles seemed more real and less strained than they had in some time, and Morrigan's laughter for once was not laced with mockery.
