Plot Reports

PLOT REPORTS

If you run a player plot, participate in a war table mission, or do something unplanned/unofficial that you feel may have wider implications for the game world, please use this page to submit an OOC report! Your report doesn't need to be lengthy or overly detailed but should include the basic premise ("A and B hunt down C"), state the outcome ("C is caught and placed in Inquisition custody"), and explain anything significant that is handwaved rather than played out if, for example, the log in question ended prematurely.

The purpose of these reports is twofold: first, to provide an easy reference for players to keep up with what's going on (or to get caught up if they're new); second, to allow the mod team to monitor the results of player plots and show the impact of those plots on the game world moving forward.

To submit a report, please use the form below and respond to the appropriate comment. In the subject line please put the date (or date range) of the plot as well as some sort of informative title ("Catching C").

First week of Kingsway - Shut UP Beatrice

[personal profile] tactical_alert 2016-09-29 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
PLOT: War Table: Soothe Ruffled Feathers
PARTICIPANTS: Malcolm, Logan
LOG: Link
PREMISE: Noisy Revered Mother won't shut up about how Bad And Wrong the Inquisition is to everyone around her, please use diplomacy at her cranky ass before we lose (more) Orlesian support.
OUTCOME:
  • Malcolm and Logan rolled up to the Chantry, that had citizens and a few Templars in it, calmly and politely addressing the Revered Mother, during which Logan publicly admitted his Rifter status
  • Beatrice remained mostly unimpressed, but the idea of closing rifts in the area definitely got her attention
  • It was suggested that some shardbearers and a healer would come to Val Fontaine in order to demonstrate to her the closing of a rift and to get an opinion on her horrid cough
  • She's still pretty linefaced but grudgingly understanding about getting Templar and mage help; can admit that shardbearers have their use and that at least the rifter before her didn't seem like a crazed demon; Leliana did at no point come up in conversation save for perhaps one cold line in which she was offhandedly mentioned; still would like attention to the whole electing a Divine thing and would rather the Inquisition be a Chantry arm, period
  • Still, the boys were polite, confident, and had good points to come across. With the local rifts closed, her health seen to, and plenty of words of understanding (but by no means promising change), Revered Mother Beatrice seems to have agreed to stop being as loud and obnoxious about her opinions
  • She will still have those opinions, of course; she just won't be shouting them figuratively from the rooftops. The boys have every confidence that if need be, she can be more properly swayed later
